About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Source Energy Services. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our frac sand products and maintaining the highest standards of quality control in our laboratory and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough tests and inspections of products and processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Analyze data and use logical reasoning to identify and address issues and problems.
- Follow established laboratory best practices and safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and perform routine checks to ensure proper functioning.
- Document results clearly and accurately, maintaining proper record-keeping for daily production and inspections.
- Maintain laboratory working areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Perform plant inspections and report any issues or concerns to the shift supervisor.
- Operate equipment such as skid steer, dingo, telehandler, man lift, loader, etc., and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Monitor production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations and identify any malfunctions.
- Perform basic plant maintenance duties within scope and assist with special projects as needed.
- Cross-train in other positions as required and promote a positive company image.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- At least 1 year of previous work history in a laboratory setting, preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics, including percentages and fractions, and use a calculator.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read, interpret, and apply written procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work well on a team.
