Care Aide

As a Care Aide at Northern Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, you will assist in the delivery of client care, following established care plans and protocols. Your primary responsibilities will include providing personal care, assisting with meals and oral hygiene, and responding to client needs. You will also be responsible for observing and monitoring clients' progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes, and reporting significant observations to the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assist with meals and oral hygiene
• Respond to client needs and requests
• Observe and monitor clients' progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes
• Report significant observations to the healthcare team
Requirements
• Grade 10, plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program (Resident Care Attendant Program) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal with others effectively
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to organize work
• Ability to operate related equipment
