As an Associate Insurance Advisor I, you'll play a key role in supporting the development of our agency operations, primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and service growth of personal lines insurance products.
  • Advise and recommend coverages and policies that meet client needs.
  • Prospect and cross-sell additional products and services that benefit clients.
  • Complete front-line risk assessments and selections following underwriting guidelines.
  • Identify and manage risks that require inspections and re-inspections.
  • Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality, and productivity.
  • Support programs to build multi-client relationships.
  • Respond to client inquiries and concerns, resolving customer complaints and escalating issues as needed.

What to Expect:

  • Strict confidentiality regarding client financial information and personal data.
  • Direct client contact and/or service provider interactions in their environment.
  • Possibility of requiring a personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance.
  • Subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.

  • Utilize client information to qualify sales opportunities and exhibit strong communication skills.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and building productive client relationships.
  • Provide guidance to support peer development and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • General Insurance License required or obtainable within two months.
  • Meet provincial-licensing requirements for continuing education to maintain licenses.
  • One year of sales and service experience or related business experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and selling techniques an asset.
