Medical Care Specialist

The RK MacDonald Nursing Home is a 136-bed Long-Term Care facility that employs approximately 250 staff members across various departments.
As a Medical Care Specialist in our geriatric setting, you will work closely with residents and healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care. To be successful in this role, you will require strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to working with seniors.
We offer a competitive salary range of $28.3210-$31.4807 per hour, based on experience and Union Contract Scale. In addition to your hourly wage, you can also expect comprehensive benefits, including pension plans, vacation time, holiday pay, and sick leave. After a probation period, you will also be eligible for health benefits.
To be considered for this position, you must have a valid LPN license from an accredited School or College of nursing, as well as current certification in CPR and WHMIS. Recent experience in geriatric care and leadership roles are preferred but not required.
The working hours for this role are rotational, with opportunities to work varied shifts, including day and night rotations. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
