Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Team Lead to join our team at Hynes Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our culinary team, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of our culinary team, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train and develop the skills of our kitchen staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and expertise to deliver exceptional results.
- Estimate and manage food and kitchen supplies, ensuring we have the necessary resources to meet our menu demands.
- Ensure that all food and service meet our quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for our kitchen operations.
- Prepare food order summaries for our chef, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop our kitchen team.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Valid driver's license and own transportation, with a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
