Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Sturgeon Community Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute pharmaceutical products, including medication preparation, compounding, and repackaging.
  • Receive and triage medication orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide clinical support and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics, and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Recent acute care hospital pharmacy technician experience, particularly in sterile products and medication selection.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Willow Pharmacy (Connect Care).
  • Experience with Pyxis and medication reconciliation.
  • Membership in a pharmacy professional organization.
