Job Title: Head Shipper

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Shipper to join our team at Hunter Express Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on shipping and receiving activities, including tracking and monitoring of shipments.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery used in shipping and receiving processes.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed to support shipping and receiving operations.
  • Train workers in duties and policies related to shipping and receiving.
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient use of resources and meet deadlines.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support shipping and receiving operations.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operation and meet customer demands.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work under pressure to meet customer demands.
  • Handling heavy loads and working in a warehouse environment.
Language:
  • English.
Hours:
  • 40 hours per week.
