Job Description:
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner's Statement of Requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
You will work with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, and regulations.
You will provide technical design solutions for facility construction, including interior and exterior assemblies.
You will coordinate internal production teams and coordinate with project sub-consultants.
You will also provide technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.
Additionally, you will assist with contract administration, including site visits and working with construction contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
You will also need 10+ years' experience working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
You must have experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, or industrial project types.
Candidates must demonstrate substantial product knowledge and an ability to detail architectural building systems.
They must also be able to put together full drawing packages suitable for tender.
REVIT software experience is necessary.
Preference given to candidates with understanding of BIM principles & workflows; Microsoft 365 environment; construction site experience; and Bluebeam.
