Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient and family-centered care, utilizing nursing processes and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, promoting health promotion and maintenance.
  • Utilize leadership skills to support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Department, with strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ENPEP-Emergency Nursing Provincial Education Program certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
