About the Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their Emergency/Outpatients Department in Wetaskiwin. As a key member of the nursing care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient and family-centered care, utilizing nursing processes and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, promoting health promotion and maintenance.
- Utilize leadership skills to support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Department, with strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ENPEP-Emergency Nursing Provincial Education Program certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
