Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Donna Morris Cleaning Services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure our clients' homes and facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning Tasks: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Assisting Clients: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Communication: Address customers' complaints or concerns.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, sitting, standing for extended periods, walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
Work Environment:

Non-smoking environment, outdoors, cleaning service company.

Transportation:

Own transportation, vehicle supplied by employer, public transportation available.
