Proplus Contracting - Floor Covering Installer

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Proplus Contracting. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing flooring solutions, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and efficient installation processes.
  • Determine work requirements by reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Cut and install underlay and underpadding, preparing the subfloor for final flooring installations.
  • Create detailed flooring plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, maintaining high-quality finishes and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required; formal training or certifications in flooring installation are an asset.
  • At least 7 months of experience in floor covering installation, preferably with a reputable contracting company like Proplus Contracting.
