We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department/Intensive Care Unit team at West Parry Sound Health Centre.

Our organization encompasses Lakeland Long Term Care, six nursing stations serving rural communities, district ambulance services, and a range of in-patient and out-patient programs associated with a 90-bed acute care hospital. As a 'pace-setter' hospital, we have achieved balanced budgets for several years running, demonstrating our commitment to fiscal responsibility and effective management.
About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and leadership within our interdisciplinary team. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and collaborating with colleagues to achieve outstanding outcomes.
The successful candidate will work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and be on-call as required. A current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is essential, along with relevant experience in emergency and ICU settings. A minimum of two years of medical/surgical nursing experience and excellent communication skills are also necessary.
We welcome applications from candidates who possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, ACLS, ATLS audit completion, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CTAS training, and certification with the Canadian Nurses Association in Emergency Room Nursing. Previous experience in emergency department triage and current certification in Nursing Advanced Practices and Sanctioned Medical Acts pertinent to Emergency Nursing are also desirable.
