Job Summary
As a Security Specialist at Great Canadian Entertainment, you will be responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of our properties using closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records. You will ensure adherence to our company's policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support our learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, document, and report violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain logs and records, storing records for evidence purposes.
- Monitor, document, and report on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with all operational departments.
- Build strong working relationships with guests and team members.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Post-secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in security or surveillance is an asset.
- Responsible Liquor Service Certification (Serving it Right Certification).
- Computer proficiency.
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time.
- Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
