Job Title: Structural Steel Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fitter to join our team at Linesteel (1973) Limited. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting steel plates and sections to form structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate assembly
  • Assemble and fit steel plates and sections to form structures
  • Weld or bolt sections together to create strong and durable structures
  • Construct patterns and templates to aid in the fabrication process
  • Install fabricated components in the final product
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in structural steel fitting
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG and GMAW
  • Experience with cutting torches, drills, and grinders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You must be able to lift and move heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment.
