Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team at Silgan Containers. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Handling and Loading: Safely and efficiently load products from production lines into trailers, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
  • Production Line Monitoring: Continuously monitor production lines, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns that may impact productivity or quality.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet our high standards, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Machine Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain semi-automatic baggers and other equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with machine operators and other team members to ensure smooth production and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training new employees and contribute to the development of our production team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 10 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication and Organization: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing production schedules and priorities, and work a rotating shift schedule as needed.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
