Business Development Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Associate to join our team at ScotiaMcLeod. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Wealth Advisors in developing and managing their book of business, providing effective client service, and contributing to business development and sales-related activities.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of products and services to identify new opportunities within the existing client base, building effective working relationships across the team and with various business lines and corporate function contacts, preparing, analyzing, and presenting reports and recommendations to clients, developing and distributing client communication and marketing pieces, reviewing practices to ensure administrative processes are streamlined, and understanding client profiles and the Advisor's investment strategy being used to implement client objectives.
Key Responsibilities- New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities to gather additional assets and/or increase revenue.
- Client Service: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of products and services to identify new opportunities within the existing client base.
- Relationship Building: Build effective working relationships across the team and with various business lines and corporate function contacts.
- Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present reports and recommendations to clients.
- Marketing: Develop and distribute client communication and marketing pieces.
- Process Improvement: Review practices to ensure administrative processes are streamlined and administrative tasks are completed and logged for tracking purposes.
- Client Understanding: Understand client profiles and the Advisor's investment strategy being used to implement client objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience: Experience in the securities industry.
- Registration: Already duly registered as a Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO.
- Training: Successfully completed the Wealth Management Essentials (WME).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Client Service Skills: Exceptional client service skills.
