About the Role:
Punia Bros Framing Ltd. is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a framer-carpenter. This is a permanent, on-the-road job with a guaranteed 35-44 hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Instruct apprentices
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary for this role, estimated to be around $45,000-$60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on individual circumstances.
