Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Leduc Emergency Department. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will utilize your nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care.

About the Role:

In this role, you will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide holistic care, health promotion, and maintenance. Your expertise will be essential in supporting an integrated approach to patient care, and you will play a leadership role in promoting a culture of excellence within our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with our interprofessional healthcare team to provide holistic care, health promotion, and maintenance.
  • Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care.
  • Support an integrated approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
  • Play a leadership role in promoting a culture of excellence within our department.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Previous Emergency Department experience or ICU/CCU experience or Two years Medical/Surgical/Labor and Delivery experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated critical thinking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTAS Triage experience preferred.
  • Charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Preference for certifications: ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and EPIC.
