Vehicles Surface Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled surface designer to join our engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be reporting directly to the Team Leader of Vehicle Engineering and play a vital role in the design, development, and validation of various surface systems for our recreational vehicles.

About This RoleThis position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with designers and engineers to develop new parts, systems, and vehicles.
You will have the chance to:
- Develop comprehensive models of aesthetic parts with complex surfaces and technical drawings (GD&T) during the vehicle development process from prototype phase to production launch.
- Support the workshop in assembling, testing, and validating prototype vehicles.
- Actively participate in configuring vehicle hardware.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to design and develop new parts, systems, and vehicles.
- Work with various suppliers and teams including design, production, purchasing, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering.
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A technical college diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical or plastics engineering, or relevant design experience.
- A good understanding of mechanics and 3D visualization.
- Experience in 3D modeling and surface design.
- The ability to use software such as Catia V5 or Solidworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and spoken).
- A desire to take on challenges as part of a team.
- A strong interest in finding creative solutions to problems that arise.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $90,000-$110,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
