Job Title: Chief Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Full Stack Developer to join our team at National Bank. As a key member of our IT - Wealth delivery sector, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing our new platforms, including a new trading system, client onboarding capabilities, API marketplace, events streaming, and data platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to building out our new platforms, including a new trading system, client onboarding capabilities, API marketplace, events streaming, and data platform.
  • Translate user stories and architectural models into working software that meets customer needs.
  • Regularly demo the results of your work to our business partners and vigorously debate how to improve on the design and construction of the system.
  • Participate in test phases to ensure the systems developed or modified are working properly.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are achieved, including performance, scalability, and cybersecurity for systems under the sector's responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a developer implementing both front-end and back-end solutions.
  • High proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Java 8+.
  • Solid experience with UI frameworks – Bootstrap, Angular or similar.
  • High skills with REST APIs and Spring Boot.
  • Senior-level knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Deep understanding of unit testing frameworks.
  • Deep experience with DevOps tools (Bitbucket (GIT), Jenkins, Nexus, Vault).
  • Several years of experience delivering in an agile approach.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, SOA, and messaging bus (e.g., Kafka, Elasticsearch and AWS cloud environments) is an asset.
  • Prior experience in the Banking or Wealth Management industry is an asset.
