About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Equity Markets group within the Capital Markets Technology team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the implementation and maintenance of our trading systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Support - Identify and resolve complex production problems for support of applications, manage and support vendor and proprietary technical issues arising in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Analyze & Report - Analyze complex technical information to determine risk levels and technical feasibility when making changes to applications, check on overnight batch processes, market and client connectivity to ensure technology readiness and availability each day.
  • Manage & Influence - Lead project coordination efforts in on-boarding clients, synchronize internal technology teams to provide optimal end-to-end solution for both internal and external clients, identify proactive solutions for recurring technology occurrences to benefit the business.
Requirements
  • Experience - Cross-discipline Application Support of real-time trading and settlement systems, diagnose Application issues related to DB, Network, OS, HW, Security, and Message Queue/Bus platforms, knowledge of Industry leading Execution and Order Management Systems (EMS/OMS), and Industry standard FIX message protocol.
  • Education - Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or related field.
  • Skills - Analytical thinking, business applications development, business requirements, business systems analysis, IT process improvement, operational efficiency, strategic objectives, system applications, technical leadership.
