Loyalty Science and Innovation Manager

Air Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Loyalty Science and Innovation to drive the strategic development and execution of loyalty program enhancements and capabilities through scientific analysis and innovative thinking.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of pricing capabilities for the Currency Management team.
- Develop business and technical levers to manage the Aeroplan redemption portfolio.
- Design advanced analytical models to drive program innovation.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in loyalty programs and recommend innovative solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
- Oversee the development of data-driven loyalty strategies, utilizing scientific methods and predictive analytics to optimize program outcomes.
- Develop a technical roadmap and coordinate with other stakeholders to deliver best-in-class Aeroplan program and optimization tools and processes.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and inform strategic decisions.
- Integrate new technologies and scientific approaches into the loyalty program to enhance member engagement and value.
- Manage the end-to-end process of loyalty program initiatives, from conceptualization to implementation and evaluation.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in loyalty sciences, data analytics, and technology to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop the data analyst skillset within the team.
- Master's degree in data sciences, mathematics, statistics, operational research, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of industry experience in data science, operational research, or similar quantitative roles in industry or academic environments.
- Proven expertise in predictive modeling, revenue management, operational research, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Proficient with relational databases (SQL) and programming languages (Python, Spark).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is a strong asset.
- Innovative and strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging science and technology to drive business results and improve the customer experience.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into a modeling and analysis framework adapted to the decision timeline.
- Required expertise with Microsoft Office tools.
- Positive thinking and a sense of humor.
