CNC Lathe/Mill Operator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe/Mill Operator to join our team at Plainsman Mfg. Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta.

Job Summary

The CNC Lathe/Mill Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality parts and components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Program and set up CNC machines for production runs
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines
  • Meet production deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machining
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and control operations
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Basic computer skills and experience with CNC software
  • Knowledge of imperial measurement system and basic hand tools
Working Conditions

The CNC Lathe/Mill Operator will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
