Digital Infrastructure Project Lead

At SolidCAD, we are a partner for technology consulting and thought leadership, helping clients drive digital transformation across various industries. We are seeking an experienced Digital Infrastructure Project Lead to oversee our highest-value technology implementation projects.
This role is focused on delivering successful outcomes to clients who seek innovation and efficiency. The successful candidate should have a strong foundation in project management as well as knowledge or experience in infrastructure design, data management, and enterprise technology. Background experience working in AEC, Utilities or Government environments is highly beneficial.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Assessing opportunities, organizing scoping calls and discoveries with the Infrastructure/GIS team, documenting findings, and developing proposals and statements of work in collaboration with solution architects.
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that reflect requirements and business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Managing projects from beginning to end, including project plans, work breakdown schedules, and resourcing, determining when 3rd party resources are needed while factoring in capabilities, cost, and availability.
- Setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, considering the quality of desired outcomes, and working towards achieving them as you perform all project management responsibilities.
- Using Salesforce to record time and billing, managing budget and milestones for invoicing, forecasting future project billings, and providing visibility to project stakeholders.
- Utilizing project management tools to schedule resources, assign work, manage sequence and dependencies, incorporating the resource team and those of the client, communicating expectations of work and due dates.
- Ensuring the success and profitability of projects through managing budget, overhead costs, expenses, scope, resources, and time.
- Overseeing all aspects of project reporting, including status reports, milestones, deliverables, % complete, budget versus actual, time remaining, tasks to go, etc., producing and sharing project updates, risk analysis, risk mitigation, and change orders when needed.
- Overseeing all project invoicing and financial reporting, managing purchase orders, change orders, and ensuring timely payment obligations are met, communicating project financials to all stakeholders.
- Managing vendors and sub-contractors involved in project delivery, creating working agreements with assigned tasks and expected deliverables.
- Hosting regularly scheduled meetings with the project team and project stakeholders, recording meeting minutes, delegating action items, reviewing work completed, and recording issues and risks.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in project management, overseeing the implementation of infrastructure design systems, data management, and/or enterprise systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective organization and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize, delegate, escalate, and multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with project management software, CRM, and collaboration tools, including Miro, MS Project, SmartSheet, OneNote, Zoom, Teams, Salesforce, and MS Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience using or administering CAD or document management systems is an asset.
- Able to work under varying workloads, often with tight deadlines and under pressure, able to take initiative and proactively determine requirements to see efficient completion of tasks.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to scope, budget, and timeline.
- A willingness to travel within Canada & USA if required, with an expectation of < 10 days annually.
Compensation
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
Location
This position can be fulfilled remotely working 100% from a home office anywhere in Canada, or by preference at a nearby SolidCAD or Cansel office.
