We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Agent to join our team at Brightshores. As a Patient Service Agent, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient service and support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register and book patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
- Interview and confirm patient visits, gathering necessary information and documentation.
- Enter scheduled orders and maintain accurate data quality.
- Utilize Cerner ESM and other clinical systems to manage patient information and scheduling.
- Provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills to patients and staff.
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient workflow.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other software applications to support patient service and administrative tasks.
- Meet typing and medical terminology requirements.
- Adhere to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies, promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
- Support a culture of patient safety and demonstrate understanding of how department services contribute to overall patient safety.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and/or post-secondary medical secretarial education or equivalent.
- Successful completion of PM Access training.
- Proven experience in clinical scheduling environments, including Cerner ESM.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- Microsoft Office experience and typing skills.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of filing and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends.
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
