Job Title: Refrigeration Technician

At Wildstone Group, we are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining refrigeration and HVAC systems in various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and start up new HVAC systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Assess operating problems in industrial and dew point applications, identifying solutions through troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
  • Perform mechanical inspections using multimeters, pressure gauges, electronic diagnostic equipment, and other specialty tools to identify issues and recommend repairs.
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or A/C components, including motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors.
  • Measure and cut piping, connecting it using welding and brazing equipment to ensure leak-free systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, including startup and testing.
  • Recharge systems with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate systems, and perform routine maintenance or servicing.
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.
  • Boiler startups are an asset, as is experience troubleshooting HVAC systems and performing building service/maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
  • Must possess an Interprovincial Refrigeration Journeyperson ticket.
  • Minimum years' experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC systems.
  • HVAC/Gas fitting experience is preferred.
  • Must possess own tools necessary to complete HVAC diagnosis and repair.
  • Solid understanding of modern construction practices and construction documents.
  • Valid Class Drivers License and insurability are required.
  • Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
  • A strong safety record and ability to work with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Plumbing, Sheet Metal, or Fuel Oil Technician experience is an added asset.
