We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our growing backend engineering team at Blossom Services Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our real-time advertising bidding system, which handles over 3,000,000 requests per second and stores several terabytes of data every day.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and develop scalable low-latency backend systems and data pipelines
- Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers within the backend distributed systems team
- Make a positive impact on the team's productivity and growth
- Promote software development best-practices and conduct rigorous code reviews
- Rigorously identify and solve technical challenges
- Conduct interviews to attract and identify potential high-performing candidates
- Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achieved
- At least 5 years of experience in software development in distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices and data pipelines in a successful high-growth technology company
- At least 1 year of leadership experience, including all the responsibilities listed above
- A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus
