SPH Power at Work is seeking a skilled Automotive Repair Specialist to join our team. As an Automotive Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Plan Repairs: Review damage reports and estimates to plan and prioritize repairs.
- Repair and Replace Components: Replace front-end components, body components, doors, and frame, and underbody components as needed.
- Surface Preparation: File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
- Dent and Defect Removal: Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
- Panel Replacement: Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Interior Repair: Repair or replace interior components.
- Vehicle Inspection: Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling.
- Specialized Equipment Operation: Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
- Frame Straightening: Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary school is usually required.
- Experience: A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade and completion of a high school or college automotive body repair program is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.
Work Environment:
- Work Setting: In-shop work environment.
Compensation:
$30.00 to $37.50 per hour.
