About the Role:

As a Home Support Worker with ParaMed Home Health Care, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their communities to live safely and independently in their homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily tasks, self-care activities, and providing companionship and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to patient residences to provide home visits and support
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks as per the care plan
  • Assist with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing
  • Support with basic activities of daily living, such as dressing and grooming
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry
  • Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients
  • Observe and report any changes or concerns related to patients or their environments

Requirements:

  • Compassion and listening skills

  • Ability to work every other weekend
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset
