This is a senior-level position responsible for establishing Interac's automated Infrastructure and Cloud roadmaps and being accountable for the delivery of all major infrastructure and Platform programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing cost-effective IT strategies and solutions that meet complex business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Executing timely initiation, prioritization, development, and implementation of projects/solutions that meet the business needs of multiple stakeholders and business partners.
- Partnering with Interac business and administrative areas to support our transformation and build on our journey of continuous improvement.
- Identifying and driving the need for future, innovative IT solutions and process improvements that help differentiate Interac.
- Developing plans and strategies for implementing solutions that create operating platforms that are reliable, always available, secure, flexible, and robust.
- Leveraging strong leadership skills to develop, coach, and mentor highly motivated, multi-disciplinary teams focused on partnering with internal stakeholders, customers, and strategic partners.
A successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10 years' technology experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technology leadership role.
- University degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering disciplines, or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in effective communication and strategic influencing at executive, internal stakeholder, strategic partner, and delivery team levels.
- Recognized externally for leadership and experience setting IT strategy, designing and implementing innovative, high-performance, highly reliable, and available IT solutions.
- An extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, product development methodologies, and technical solutions.
- Strong technical leadership skills with a minimum of 5 years of senior experience leading major IT projects involving multi-disciplinary, multi-vendor teams.
- Senior-level experience leading IT Transformation and continuous improvement programs, identifying fundamental and systemic issues, and influencing team members to take accountability to address and propose solutions to senior management.
- Knowledge of Canadian banking and payments landscape, economics of debit and credit cards, payment technologies desirable.
- Senior-level experience working with external solution providers, software vendors, etc., including negotiating and managing large agreements.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $160,000, depending on experience. Interac offers a multitude of benefits and perks, driven by individual and corporate performance.
