The Sanitation Supervisor is a critical role at Sunrise Farms, responsible for ensuring that our food safety and quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities- Sanitation and Quality Assurance: Develop and implement sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train sanitation staff, including planning work assignments, managing absenteeism, and providing coaching and guidance to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Supply Management: Manage the ordering and inventory of sanitation supplies, including chemicals and equipment, to ensure that they are available when needed.
- Audit and Compliance: Participate in customer and regulatory audits, and take corrective action to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in sanitation procedures and implement changes to ensure that our food safety and quality standards are met.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Proven leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and coach staff to meet quality and safety standards.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Food Safety and Quality Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety and quality principles, including HACCP and GMP.
- Education and Experience: Diploma or post-secondary education with technical certificate, and 3+ years of related experience, preferably in a meat processing environment.
