Job Title: Housekeeping/Laundry Aide

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residential care facility. This includes sweeping, damp-mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning bathrooms, and making beds. As a Laundry Worker, duties include operating machines and dryers, collecting, sorting, and cleaning linen, including personal laundry of residents, and folding, sorting, and distributing clean items to user areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Collect, sort, and clean linen, including personal laundry of residents
  • Fold, sort, and distribute clean items to user areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Grade 10
  • Related experience and a Building Service Worker certificate preferred

Working Conditions:

This is a casual position with a variety of shifts available. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.

Salary:

$24.34 per hour - Housekeeping

$25.26 per hour - Laundry
