Job Description

">

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the delivery of capital projects associated with new generation, capital upgrades, and decommissioning of legacy facilities. The successful candidate will manage projects through the entire life cycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

">
  • ">
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, considering financial impacts, environmental regulations, and safety requirements;">
  • Reporting to the Manager, Power Production Project Delivery Office;">
  • Working with employees and vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery;">
  • Attending regular meetings and training programs at client facilities;">
  • Traveling to project locations within Saskatchewan as needed;">
  • Preparing project management deliverables and reports;">
  • Delivering quality projects within scope, on time, and on budget;">
  • Integrating engineering and construction supervision staff in project planning and execution;">
  • Meetings with plant operations staff over the project life cycle;">
  • Assisting or leading asset management group in preparing project authorization documents;">
  • Managing internal and external permitting and authorization issues;">
  • Reviewing progress claims and recommending/approving progress payments;">
  • Arranging field-testing and final inspection of material and construction works;">
  • Facilitating project meetings;">
  • Developing RFQs/RFPs and managing contract negotiations;">
  • E nsuring compliance with Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Legislation;">
  • Ensuring supply vendors and contractors adhere to contractual obligations;">
  • Developing and executing project management plans;">
  • Liaising with other business divisions;">
  • Effectively managing projects through SAP modules;">
  • Planning, establishing, and executing contract management and administration;">
  • Implementing processes and methodology for reporting, contract administration, and project management leadership.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • ">
  • Experience in project management, preferably in heavy industry;">
  • Strong project life cycle knowledge, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control, closure;">
  • A proven record of accomplishment in managing multidisciplinary projects;">
  • Design and/or construction management experience related to power generation facilities or heavy industry projects;">
  • Project experience in various generating station types;">
  • Bachelor's Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in one or more engineering disciplines;">
  • PMP designation preferred.">
