We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Clerk to join our team at Mokx Professional services Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting and financial tasks.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement preparation.

  • Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (based on location and industry standards)
Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting and Financial Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  2. Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely payment to employees.
  3. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  4. Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  5. Asset Management: Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate recording of asset values.

You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure seamless processing of financial transactions and timely delivery of financial reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma or certificate in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
