The Happy Camel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our retail staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all sales transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who is proficient in handling cash and operating electronic point-of-sale systems. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a retail environment and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy when processing transactions.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, estimated to be around $35,000-$40,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, using electronic point-of-sale systems.
  • Handle cash and operate electronic payment systems, including Interac machines and price scanners.
  • Restock shelves and maintain store displays in accordance with company standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in cash handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting and maintain accuracy when processing transactions.
