Job Summary

Associated Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as a Senior Civil Engineer - Project Lead. This is a key role that requires a strong background in designing municipal infrastructure projects in Ontario, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams of engineers and technicians to design and deliver municipal infrastructure projects
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Registered, or approaching registration, as a Professional Engineer with PEO
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in designing municipal infrastructure projects
  • Experience of designing infrastructure projects in Ontario is an asset
  • Proven integrity to deal with sensitive, privileged, and confidential employee or client matters
  • Proven ability to liaise and manage client, contractor, and other consultant relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Results-oriented and ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated prioritization, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively and clearly
  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite of products, including collaborative software such as OneNote and SharePoint
  • Valid driver's license is an asset
  • Ability to travel within Canada
