Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Controller, this position is responsible for reviewing and updating accounting and payroll processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile all accounting and payroll related procedures and highlight them for review and updates.
- Assist and review the accounts receivable process and update the process manuals.
- Assist and review the rent collection process and update the process manuals.
- Assist and review the trust disbursements, account opening/closing, fees collection and bank reconciliation processes and update the process manuals.
- Assist and review the accounts payable process and update the process manuals.
- Assist and review the cash and cheques deposits process and update the process manuals.
- Assist, review and update the accounting standard operating procedures.
- Assist in ad-hoc tasks when assigned.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be enrolled in a post-secondary accounting program. The candidate must be attending school (3 classes or more) while working in this position. Ideally, you have completed the 1st year of a recognized Accounting Program.

Ability to provide or obtain:
- WHIMIS certification
- Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance
Please note, this position is made available through the Canada Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). Successful candidate will be required to take part in the application process.
