About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Steel Frame Design Specialist to join our team at Les Dessins Techn-O-Concept Inc. as a Structural Drafting Expert. As an Engineering Design Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing engineering designs and drawings for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings for steel frame structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Documentation and Drawing Sets: Develop and complete documentation packages and drawing sets for clients, including shop drawings and other relevant documents.
  • Quality Control: Examine drawings for conformity and errors, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize CAD software, such as Tekla, to create and edit designs, and to produce high-quality drawings and documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: College or equivalent experience in a related field, such as engineering or architecture.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in steel frame design and drafting.
  • Language: Fluency in English or French, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Work Environment: Willing to relocate for the right opportunity, with a focus on working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
