About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Career Guidance Specialist to join our team at ELITE ROYAL INTERNATIONAL CAREER COLLEGE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers in achieving their educational and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: University or college, post-secondary educational institution, or private school.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
    • Counsel students regarding educational, career, or vocational issues, and provide guidance on personal and social matters.
    • Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
    • Coordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents, and teachers.
    • Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest tests to assess student abilities.
    • Refer students to other specialized services when required, and facilitate connections with relevant resources.
    • Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and workshops to contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Develop guidance and counselling programs to meet the diverse needs of students and stakeholders.
    • Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents, and educational institutions.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, and symposia to share expertise and best practices.
  • Personal Suitability: The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Transportation and Travel: Willingness to travel is required, with opportunities to visit various educational institutions and attend industry events.
  • Other Benefits: Free parking is available, and the college offers a permanent work term with 40 hours of work per week.
