Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and culturally sensitive individual to fill the role of Human Relations Agent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating social programs that promote the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop programs to address the needs of community residents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention or rehabilitation programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients, including referrals to traditional healers and Elders.
  • Develop and implement methods to evaluate user progress and make recommendations for modification.
  • Ensure the involvement and awareness of family members and the surrounding community in the application of intervention or rehabilitation plans.
Requirements
  • University degree in social sciences, such as criminology, social work, sexology, or psychology.
  • Two years of pertinent experience.
  • Knowledge of Nishiiyuu Miyupimaatisiiun (Cree Helping Methods) and current First Nations traditional holistic health and healing models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Cree and English; fluency in French is an asset.
