We are seeking a skilled Apiary Technician to join our team at Poelman Apiaries Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Apiary Technician will be responsible for maintaining the bee yard and beekeeping equipment, working with honey bees, harvesting crops, and performing general farm duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment
  • Work with honey bees
  • Harvest crops
  • Perform general farm duties
  • Interact with bees based on knowledge of their biology, behavior, ecology, and caste system
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical demands include handling heavy loads, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
Working Conditions:

The Apiary Technician will work outdoors in all weather conditions, in a rural area with staff accommodation provided.
