Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a skilled Hardware Verification Designer to contribute to the development of high-tech engineering and manufacturing solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet stringent reliability, robustness, regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.

This hands-on role involves a thorough understanding of hardware requirements, design documents, test requirements, product regulations, and test equipment. You will be responsible for preparing test plans, documenting procedures, and organizing your workload to ensure the timely and accurate execution of complex plans with internal and external test facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and manage hardware verification activities for projects, including the creation of test plans, test procedures, test records, and reports.
  • Engage with external test laboratories to provide test services that accurately deliver on time and on budget.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, procedures, and plans that ensure validation to system requirements.
  • Provide hardware testing for electrical, mechanical, environmental, and regulatory performance at the system and component levels.
  • Provide EMC, EMI, and RF test qualification expertise.
  • Continuously learn and improve our processes.
Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Technology diploma or engineering degree from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork skills, and work habits.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs and computer skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically, typically 5% - 10% of time.

Key Success Factors:

  • Problem solver, self-motivated, and enjoy learning.
  • Strong attention to details and excel at documenting observations.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Knowledge of GPS/GNSS.
  • Experience programming or scripting (e.g., Python).
  • Experience working in larger dynamic teams and organizations.
  • Experience with ISO 17025, ISO 16949, ISO 14001.
