About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced High School Teacher to join our team at Hants Learning Network Association. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Deliver instruction to students in a variety of subjects, including core academic areas and elective courses.
    • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Classroom Management
    • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
    • Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
    • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and educational trends.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
    • Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary education setting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
