About the Opportunity

Rocky View Schools is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Caretaker I to join our team on an on-call, casual basis. As a Caretaker I, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools in the Cochrane Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Keep assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
  • Perform building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning and maintenance goals

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
  • Certifications from cleaning organizations are considered an asset
  • Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
