Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Darwin Gadioma. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Make beds and change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries.
  • Stock linen closets and clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas, and clean and disinfect elevators.
  • Handle and report lost and found items, and attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Provide basic information on facilities, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and launder clothing and household linens.
  • Mend clothing and linens, and perform other light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to perform bending, crouching, kneeling, and other physical tasks.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

Work Environment: Our facilities are non-smoking, and we offer optional accommodation at no charge on a live-in basis. Room and board are provided.

Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.

Transportation/Travel Information: Willingness to travel regularly is required.
