We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineering and Automation Co-op to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a member of our dynamic Technology and Operations group, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that drive innovation and excellence in quality engineering and automation.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will assist in the development of automated test plans and solutions to meet clients' growing needs for automation and process control enhancements. They will create plans for, update, and execute QA testing, support programming testing tools, maintain accurate testing status reports, and document test results according to defined tools. Additionally, they will automate reporting processes using Blue Prism, VBA, and SQL, apply data warehouse concepts, and confirm adherence to development standards and guidelines.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you must be currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on computer science, technology, or engineering. You should possess leadership acumen, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be a creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Strong MS Office skills, systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, understanding of QA methods, testing approaches, frameworks, and methodologies, experience in SQL and/or VBA, and knowledge of design, development, and implementation utilizing current analytics technologies and architecture are also essential.
