The Opportunity
As a key member of our culinary team, the Cook I plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents at Shepherd's Care Foundation. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cook I.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager and/or Accommodations Manager, the Cook I performs a range of cooking duties that require sound judgment and independence, involving the safe and efficient use of quality control techniques while following established procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, adhering to standardized recipes and production sheets.
- Ensure the highest standards of sanitation and food safety in food preparation and handling.
- Coordinate meal production and presentation to meet the needs of our residents.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to achieve excellent service standards.
Requirements:
- Read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Three to five years of institutional cooking experience.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
