Job Title: Forestry Skidder Machine Operator

Job Summary:

Thompson Bros. (CONSTR.) LP is seeking a skilled Forestry Skidder Machine Operator to transport logs from the cutting site to the processing area. The ideal candidate will have experience with skidder machinery and a dedication to safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate skidder to move logs to processing or loading areas.
  • Ensure logs are transported safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance on skidder equipment.
  • Follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Work in coordination with other forestry team members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating skidder machinery in a forestry environment.
  • Knowledge of log transportation and handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification.
  • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Certification, BSO or CSO equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
