Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Consultant to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Canadian construction industry and a proven track record in construction claims, project management, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate documents and complete analyses to prepare deliverables such as claims, expert reports, and other supporting documentation for mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
- Provide leadership to junior and intermediate consultants working on mandates.
- Work collaboratively with teams as a leader or supporting member, developing junior and intermediate staff through mentoring.
- Advocate quality and provide quality (peer) reviews across the organization.
- Develop new clients and business opportunities with government agencies, private owners, contractors, engineering/design firms, and law firms.
- Continually develop own skills through ongoing training (formal and informal) and mentoring.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in engineering, architecture, or quantity surveying.
- A minimum of 10 years of related work experience in the Canadian construction industry.
- Knowledge and experience with respect to scheduling, project controls, risk management, contracts, delay, and productivity analyses.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), Primavera Project Planner (P6), and MS Project.
- An established network in the Canadian construction industry.
