Skilled Construction Laborer Wanted for Permanent Position

Moonstar Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled construction laborer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a construction laborer, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of physical fitness and attention to detail. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, so it's essential that you're self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from project sites.
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt according to specifications.
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications and paving and raking asphalt as needed.
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings and cleaning up debris from construction sites.
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials and removing rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • DIRECTING TRAFFIC AT OR NEAR CONSTRUCTION SITES AS REQUIRED.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position; we will provide on-the-job training.
  • Basic security clearance is mandatory.
  • Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) frequently throughout the day.
  • Fast-paced environment and physically demanding work may be challenging for some individuals.
  • Team player with flexibility and reliability.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a physically demanding job that requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing. You'll work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces. A valid first aid certification would be an asset but is not required.

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace, and fluency is expected. Bilingualism or multilingualism may be considered an asset.
